Lindsay Lohan Enters Not Guilty Plea

By KATE MORAWETZ

UPDATE: During a brief court hearing held on Tuesday in Los Angeles, Lindsay Lohan's attorney Shawn Holley entered a not guilty plea to three misdemeanor charges filed over a June accident when her sports car slammed into a dump truck. She was accused of lying to police, reckless driving and obstructing police from performing their duties. She could face jail time if a judge finds she violated probation for a 2011 necklace theft case.

Lindsay Lohan has been charged for the SECOND time today. The Santa Monica City Attorney's Office has charged Lindsay with wilfully resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer in the course of their duties, providing false information to a peace officer and reckless driving.

No court date has been set at this time for the new misdemeanor charges which stem from Lindsay's June traffic collision on the Pacific Coast Highway.  During the subsequent investigation, information developed that Lindsay was the driver when the accident occurred even though she claimed that her friend was behind the wheel at the time.

More trouble for Lindsay Lohan after the Liz & Dick actress’ arrest early this morning in New York City, for allegedly punching a woman at a nightclub.

The actress was at Club Avenue when an argument ensued with another female patron.  Law enforcement confirms that prior to the fight, words were exchanged between Lindsay and the other woman as they sat in separate booths. The actress said something to the effect of "Give me my space," and then some time after, for an unknown reason, Lindsay allegedly punched the girl.

By the time cops arrived Lindsay was trying to leave the club in a car, when they then intercepted to make the arrest. The star was held until approximately 8 a.m. this morning, when she was booked for third degree misdemeanor assault which could trigger yet another probation violation.

And the court date's been set - Lindsay is set to appear in court on January 11 for her latest arrest.  Her rep has been contacted, but no comment has been made as of yet.

Someone who is speaking out about this latest arrest is Lindsay's dad, Michael Lohan, who made a statement saying he knew Lindsay would get arrested again and her spiraling condition, laying most of the blame on his ex-wife Dina.  "She is in a dark place,” he says. “It's in God's hands and I hope he deals with her appropriately... Lindsay is acting out in numerous ways because she needs us and internally she's hurt and angry!"

What was Lindsay doing before "hitting" the club? She had a pretty wholesome night on the town catching Justin Bieber's Madison Square Garden show. possibly with V.I.P. seats!
