Neil Patrick Harris Turned Down The 'Late Show'
The Late Show with Neil Patrick Harris?
The “How I Met Your Mother” star revealed on Wednesday that he was approached by CBS to replace David Letterman on the Late Show.
Harris confirmed the rumours on the “Howard Stern Show” and told listeners that talks went as far as one-on-one meetings with CBS execs, saying, "they called me in and sat me down and asked if that would be something that I would be interested in doing."
Despite the lucrative offer, Harris turned down the chance of a lifetime to work on more flexible and stimulating work. He said, “I would get bored of the repetition fast, and the structure is so set that I don't have any interest in doing monologue, commercial, sketch, guest, guest, musical act, good night."
