People's Choice: Bieber and Tatum Take The Lead

This morning the 2013 People's Choice Awards nominations were announced and Adam Levine, Justin Bieber and "Sexiest Man Alive" Channing Tatum lead the pack. Country singer Jason Aldean, Sophia Bush, Vegas actor Jason O'Mara took part in the announcement at the Beverly Hills Paley Center for Media on Thursday. And Kaley Cuoco will return as host of the show when it airs on January 9 at 9-11 pm EST.

Maroon 5 front-man Adam Levine received six nominations combined throughout the music and television categories, including favourite band, song, album, music video, celebrity judge and competition TV show. The Biebs is hot on his heels with five nominations, one of which he will be competing against former flame Selena Gomez.

People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive, Channing picked up a slew of nominations, most of which have him competing in every major actor category - movie actor, comedic and dramatic and as well for his on-screen chemistry with Rachel McAdams in The Vow.

And it's not just the guys who are raking in the awards, Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence share three nominations apiece!

Glee shows up the competition with five nominations.  The New Directions gang is up for favourite network TV comedy and cast members Chris Colfer, Lea Michele and Jane Lynch all picked up noms for their acting chops.  Thanks to all those "Gleeks" out there, the show is up for favourite fan following as well!
