Chicago Fire spinoff Chicago P.D. is planning some upcoming crossovers with the show that spawned it, and executive producer Dick Wolf told reporters at the Television Critics Association press tour that viewers can expect to see characters crossing back and forth between the two shows with some regularity throughout the season.

In addition, Wolf revealed plans for a two-hour crossover involving the Chicago-set cop show and his other show, Law & Order: SVU.

The crossover, scheduled to air on Wednesday, Feb. 26, will begin on SVU when Chicago P.D. detective Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) heads to New York to investigate a case. Describing the crossover as "seamless," Wolf explains the story will conclude immediately afterwards on Chicago P.D. when " Ice-T and Kelli Giddish come to Chicago."

Explains Sophia Bush: “We have a case that we need a little bit of help with that began in New York City and that we're now finding the M.O. in Chicago, and SVU was investigating it when it was up there and now it's in our hands," she says.

Bush will be heading to New York this week to film her SVU scenes, and admitted that she's excited to appear on the iconic police drama. "I'm the biggest SVU fan," Bush says. "So to have Ice and Kelli come down and work with us and now to be going to work with Mariska [Hargitay], I feel like it's my birthday."

Chicago P.D. airs Wednesday nights on Global.
