The Dark Knight Rises opens on July 20 and to promote the movie, director Christopher Nolan got his hands and feet cemented at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre this weekend and then released a 13-minute-long featurette for the film.

While the majority of the featurette is previously released scenes combined with cast members and the director talking about the film, there are some new details on both returning cast members - Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman - and the new "young guns" for the franchise, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Much to the delight of The Dark Knight trilogy fans, there are also a couple of brand new scenes included. One of these seems to be generating some controversy and shows a brief glimpse of a young child in a jail cell.  The child appears to be bald, so there’s speculation that this child is a young Bane, whose origin in the comic books was that he was born and raised in Pena Duro prison.  Another possibility is that the child could be a young Talia al Ghul.  There are rumours that Joey King, who is credited in the cast as playing the role, shaved her head to play the young Talia, so it would also fit with her being the bald child in prison.

Fan sites are erupting with forums speculating what this could mean for the trilogy and since Nolan is known for splicing together different scenes from the film in his trailers, the possibilities are endless.  Watch the making of the film below and let us know what you think!
