Georgia May Jagger Proves She's A Material Girl
Georgia May Jagger rocks in her latest campaign for Material Girl! The youngest daughter of legendary front man, Mick Jagger and supermodel Jerry Hall, was hand-picked by Madonna and her daughter Lourdes, back in May, taking over from fellow rock offspring, Kelly Osbourne.
The mother-daughter designing duo calls their latest muse the ideal candidate for their 2012 new fall collection for Macy's : “We think Georgia May has great style and perfectly captures the energy and free spirit of the Material Girl Fall line.” And, the feelings are mutual. Georgia May admits she's been a fan of her Madgesty since she was a kid. "I remember me and my friend went to our prom, when we were 16 dressed as her", she tells us on her recent behind-the-scenes photoshoot.
While this season's Material Girl draw influences like plaid shirts and baby-doll dresses straight from '90s grunge culture, the youth line, doesn't lose it's '80s feel, carrying over bold colours and stripes from its previous collection. Nothing made the pop-meets-rock vibe more authentic than the location for the new ads, which were shot backstage at Madonna’s MDNA tour rehearsals in New York’s Nassau Coliseum in May.
Georgia May looks right at home hanging out backstage and striking a pose in Madonna's dressing room, and it's no wonder why. She says all of those years of tagging along with her dad's band, the Rolling Stones, influenced her eclectic style, "because we travel around a lot." But , the 20-year-old fashionista claims her greatest fashion resource has been her mother Jerry and sister Lizzy's closests: " I borrowed a lot of their clothes", she admits.
