Shocking Reveal: 'Survivor' Winner Richard Hatch A Secret Sperm Donor, May Have Fathered 200 Children
Former Survivor champ Richard Hatch has never failed to shock us, from his Survivor nudity to his subsequent stint in the slammer when he was sentenced to three years in prison in 2006 for failing to pay taxes on this winnings.
As it turns out, Hatch is still full of surprises, such as his recent revelation that he was a sperm donor while attending college, and may have fathered dozens, and possibly hundreds of children.
Hatch told Inside Edition that he believes could be the father of as many as 200 children, having made hundreds of donations to the Cryobank sperm bank in Fairfax, Virginia, while studying at Virginia’s George Mason University. He was paid $30 for each donation.
“I did it for two years, about two or three times a week,” Hatch said, revealing that he recently met two of the children he fathered after his progeny — Emily Kidd and Devin O’Neill, both 24 — tracked him down.
Kidd says her mother confirmed that the tax-dodging Survivor winner is indeed her biological father, and she admits she has vague recollections of watching him on that first season of Survivor.
“I don’t remember much from when I was 11, but I do remember the naked man and the hype of it,” said Kidd. O’Neill, however, admitted he had no idea who Hatch was.
Hatch, who adopted a son in 1998, said he’s trying to get to know O’Neill and Kidd, revealing he spent some time with them last Christmas.
