Rumours are swirling that Cheryl Cole could be getting the ultimate revenge after getting axed from the American version of The X Factor, after new reports claim the stunning UK singer is in talks to join rival show “American Idol” with a multi-million dollar contract. But the brunette beauty's rep tells ET Canada exclusively there is no truth to these claims.

“No one has approached Cheryl about American Idol," says her spokesperson. "Cheryl Cole is focusing on the release of her upcoming album A “Million Lights”."

Reports had pegged Cheryl as a potential replacement for Jennifer Lopez if she doesn’t come back next season! The 28-year-old British import made headlines last year when she was fired from The X Factor after just two rounds of auditions and replaced with Nicole Scherzinger.

Meanwhile, her star continues to rise across the pond with a cameo in the new comedy, “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.” Her co-star, Matthew Morrison, recently defended her saying X Factor bosses made a mistake when they let her go.

And Cameron Diaz told the Associated Press: "She's so great, she's lovely. She had such a great energy. What she did was really a favour to us because there wasn't a lot for her to do, but there was a lot of ad-libbing. She just kept the energy up. She was a lot of fun."
