Kelly Clarkson's new video for her single Dark Side debuted today - watch below - as will her new reality show, Duets tonight on Global. She was the talk of the town at the Billboard Music Awards over the weekend with bloggers not only praising her new song, but raving about her slim new look.

The American Idol's new single entered the American Idol Airplay Chart at No.98 this week, but don’t let that determine how quickly it will climb the charts.

Kelly’s last single Stronger remains at No. 1 after keeping a close reign on fellow Idol Alumni Carrie Underwood’s latest single Good Girl.

Season 4 winner Carrie has had her own taste of fame, releasing her fourth album Blown Away earlier this month and trying her hand at small acting roles in Soul Surfer and an episode of How I Met Your Mother.

The country superstar can also celebrate being the top selling American Idol alumni having sold over 13 million total album sales.

It’s not just American Idol winners who are topping album sales and taking top spots on music charts across the continent. Carrie is followed closely by Kelly with 11 million and Chris Daughtry, Clay Aiken and Fantasia Barrino round out the top five.

Meanwhile, Season 8 runner up Adam Lambert’s latest album Trespassing debuting at No.1 on the Billboard Top 200. And Adam's album had enough steam left over to claim the top spot on the Canadian Album chart, blowing by Adele’s 21 and Carrie's Blown Away.

Adam’s sophomore album sold 7,300 copies in its first week, which was enough to reign supreme, but not enough to overcome Carrie’s Blown Away debut from a couple of weeks ago.  His first album went platinum in Canada and he released a snippet of his video for the album’s first single Never Close Our Eyes earlier this week - you can catch a glimpse below.
