Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens team-up with indie provocateur Harmony Korine, as bikini clad, gun-toting girls gone wild in "Spring Breakers" - a film that's sure to rock their Disney fans.

In the May issue of Interview magazine, Selena reveals why she wanted a break from her good girl image: "I was getting kind of repetitive in terms of the roles I was picking, and I really wanted to do something that was completely different."

She also says exploring her wild side took some effort: "I'd never smoked a cigarette before in my entire life. It was really funny - they had to show me how to do it."

And James Franco dishes to the mag on why he took on the role of a gun-running drug dealer. "When Harmony told me who he was going to cast, I thought it was perfect for so many reasons," the actor admits. "The young actresses are so excited to do a movie like this with someone like Harmony. They were so eager and enthusiastic to be a part of it."

Meanwhile, the man behind the mayhem, writer and director Harmony Korine is no stranger to shock cinema. He's the brains behind the controversial film, "Kids", and "Trash Humpers". "When I wrote the script, I started thinking about girls in bikinis with guns, wearing ski masks," Harmony tells Interview. "I was like, ‘Where would you see that?' And the idea of spring break came to me. I just started imagining girls on spring break robbing places."
