The full list of competition was announced for the ultra exclusive Cannes Film Festival which will take place May 16 - 27 in the south of France.

Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom will open the festival, while some of the other films that are in contention for the prestigious Palme d’Or include David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis, Rust & Bone starring Marion Cotillard, Lee Daniels’ The Paperboy and Holy Motors featuring Eva Mendes.
This year is a special one as the festival will get a double dose of Cronenberg. David’s son, Brandon Cronenberg’s film Antiviral was also picked up. Although, the two won’t be competing against one another - Cosmopolis is in the Competition category while Antiviral is in Un Certain Regard.

With a line-up like that the festival is sure to be a star-studded event, bringing out Hollywood’s most glamorous couples.
The newly engaged Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will be hitting the red carpet, as Brad debuts his new erotic thriller Killing Them Softly.
Reese Witherspoon will be glowing as she sports her ever-growing baby bump, while she’s there promoting her new film Mud with co-star Matthew McConaughey.
Cannes is also sure to bring out celebrity couples who try to keep a low profile. Super steamy couple Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes will be in attendance - Ryan is coming to Cannes with his movie Lawless, while Eva stars in Holy Motors.

And of course the fans will be waiting in the wings to see if Robert Pattinson – who stars in Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis - will be accompanied by his lovely lady Kristen Stewart, who’s promoting On The Road, directed by Walter Salles.

You can find the full list of films at the Cannes Film Festival website.
