What Happens In Vegas, Doesn't Stay In Vegas Anymore...

By ET CANADA

Over the years I've learned there's two kind of people - Vegas People, and Non Vegas People. Me? I'm Vegas People all the way. I'm not a huge gambler and I've never paid $900 for a $60 bottle of Vodka, but I love Vegas for work. It's unbelievably efficient, the customer service levels are out of this world, and when stars make the trip from LA they're ready for fun.

My favourite interviews are always the ones where the stars are out of their element. There's always a sense of 'we're all in this together.' From Cairo to Moscow and from small town North Carolina to The South Of France, 'location interviews' are a blast - but nothing can compare to a weekend in Vegas.

Before I go any further, do yourself a favour and watch the trailer for The Incredible Burt Wonderstone...

Burt Wonderstone can be summed up like this - Steve Carell, Jim Carrey, magician fight! Oh, and Olivia Wilde. Brilliant, right?

Steve plays a sort of old school David Copperfield meets Siegfried and Roy-type, while Jim is a bada$$ David Blaine meets Criss Angel street magician-type. Steve's act is getting tired and Jim is the new shiny star of the Vegas strip.

It's rare to find a vehicle for two comedic powerhouses that allows each of them to do what they do best. Steve, like he was in The Office, is self absorbed, arrogant, and manipulative but just simple enough that you fall in love with him. While Jim pulls off one of his best physical comedic performances since the days of Dumb and Dumber and Ace Ventura.

It's impossible to think about Vegas without comparing Burt Wonderstone with other comedies that have used the debaucherous and tacky, yet electrifying, city as a backdrop. Is Wonderstone funnier than The Hangover? Tough to say, two totally different movies. But I will say this, the payoff to Burt Wonderstone is right up there with the, now infamous, cell phone pics found at the end of The Hangover. Trust me... also Steve Carell's hair is awesome in it... and so is Jim Carrey's. Oh, and Olivia Wilde! Did I mention Olivia Wilde?
